A lot of you will be stressing about the holiday season…
- The missed workouts
- Food temptations
- More alcohol from social events
- Travel disruption
Unfortunately, this is a hot topic right now in the fitness Industry.
I’m not going to inundate you with cheesy advice like… “Don’t worry about gaining weight over the holidays.”
Or even worse a “holiday survival guide” telling you exactly when to pig out then fast to hopefully stop you feeling bloated and how to lose weight.
What you need to know is that there isn’t a one-size-fits-all, everyone is at a different stage of fat loss, what’s important is that you do your best to stick to the plan and keep the right mindset without being too destructive.
That being said I do have a few new clients that are thinking about coasting December and doubling down on effort in January.
This can work well depending on where you’re at in the process and what you define as ‘coasting.’
If it’s dropping to just 2-3 workouts a week and having a few more meals of choice and a few drinks, sure.
But if it’s dropping exercise completely and eating junk and drinking gallons of alcohol that isn’t going to work.
There will NEVER be a perfect time to pursue your goals
And the WORSE thing is you could be waiting for a window when you are ‘not as busy.’ But let’s face it, that will never happen.
If you are traveling extensively and have loads on your plate, there are still ways to stay on track!
Waiting for the perfect time simply means waiting forever.
And an EVEN better option is to START NOW so you’re set to attack your goals when the holiday season is lifted.
For most that is New Year’s Day, which will be here before you know it.
Whether you’re ready or not, getting lean in 2022 starts NOW! Don’t wait until Monday, the New Year, let’s start together now.
